 3D Cut Using Grease Paints Evaluation:

Makeup Design and Scenario: 

This makeup if for a TV series about the development of a serial killer. 

A vet is cheating on his wife, she catches him and threatens to leave him so he ties her up and cuts her while his mistress laughs and takes pictures. The makeup is a photograph of a fresh laceration on her arm caused by a small knife. 















Makeup: 




Evaluation: 
The lighter foundation created highlights which created a 3D effect, however, if I was to do this again I would create more bruising and I would use a darker foundation to add more shading which will give more of a 3D effect. 

Due to the scenario, this makeup would be used in an 18 rated film or TV show, however, with a different scenario this makeup could be used in a PG13 or 15 rated film. It would work as grease paints were used and they won't be affected by water as much as aqua paints would be which means they will last longer. This technique would be useful for crowd scenes or scenarios when there's lots of cuts in 1 area and it would be useful for events such as Halloween walks for younger children. However, it wouldn't work for stage as the details would be lost due to the distance.

These are my right ear prosthetics: These are my face and chin prosthetics: They will be separated before being put on the face. These are my eyebrow prosthetics: These are my nose prosthetics:  17 th February 2021: Today I began experimenting with my prosthetics and loosely applied them to the face to get a vague idea of how they will look on the face. I applied an earpiece, cheek and nose piece to the face and practiced painting them.   1970s Research: The 1970s was extremely diverse and makeup ranged from very natural to very intense with different subcultures including disco and punk. Natural makeup was also popular. Blush was quite natural in terms of both colour and application and creams, powders and gel formulas were used. From the mid-1970s, blush became more intense and was in stripes across the cheeks sometimes even from the temples down. A tanned look was desired which means that bronzer was used to create a sun-kissed glow (Hair and Makeup Artist Handbook, 2013).
