 Developed Renaissance Inspired Makeup (14th Century) Evaluation:

Makeup Design: 

This makeup is for a sci-fi film and the hair is inspired by 14th Century trends. 















Makeup: 




Evaluation: 
This makeup would work for film & TV as grease paints were used which means they won't be affected by water as much as aqua paints would be which means they will last longer. However, this makeup wouldn't work for stage as the makeup's not intense enough so the details would be lost due to the distance, however, I could make this work for theatre by making the makeup more intense to allow it to be seen from a distance. 

This look fits the time period as a traditional hairstyle was used, the makeup is for a sci-fi film which means that the makeup isn't traditional but the eyes are very natural which fits the time period. 

However, the base is patchy so to improve I could layer the paints to make the base even, I could also secure the hair more to prevent it falling out and I could add some traditional hair pieces.

These are my eyebrow prosthetics: These are my nose prosthetics:  17 th February 2021: Today I began experimenting with my prosthetics and loosely applied them to the face to get a vague idea of how they will look on the face. I applied an earpiece, cheek and nose piece to the face and practiced painting them.   1970s Research: The 1970s was extremely diverse and makeup ranged from very natural to very intense with different subcultures including disco and punk. Natural makeup was also popular. Blush was quite natural in terms of both colour and application and creams, powders and gel formulas were used. From the mid-1970s, blush became more intense and was in stripes across the cheeks sometimes even from the temples down. A tanned look was desired which means that bronzer was used to create a sun-kissed glow (Hair and Makeup Artist Handbook, 2013).
