Makeup Design:
This makeup is for a show similar to Horrible Histories which is discussing the Tudors. They re-attached an upper class woman's head who was recently beheaded to discuss how she was degraded and wasn't treat like a woman of her social status when she was executed. As she's an upper class woman she has lead poisoning and she has very pockmarked skin.
This makeup would work for film & TV as the base was flawlessly blended and the skin was even. The cut was well blended which prevents the paint clinging to the edges which would ruin the illusion and alcohol paints were used which means they will last longer as they won't be affected by water as much as aqua paints would be. The blood work also helps cover any visible edges.
For continuity, a prosthetic could be used for the cut and I could also make this work for stage by using a thicker prosthetic and making the makeup more intense to allow it to be seen from a distance.
This makeup fits the time period well as makeup was frowned upon so this makeup is very subtle, the latex dots are pockmarks which was common for upper class women.
However, to improve I could add more texture to the wound on the neck using silicone and aged blood, I could also splatter some blood on the neck and face. I could use a different technique to create the pockmarks as they look like small boils rather than pockmarks, I could also add some to the neck. I could also secure the hair more and style it differently to fit with the time period more, this could include covering the hair.
