Production 2 - APTA Launch - Moulin Rouge
Production 2 - APTA Launch - Moulin Rouge:
1st October 2020:
Today as a group we discussed the topic of Moulin Rouge and
as a group we agreed to each research different topics before coming back
together and discussing the information we had found, I agreed to research the
colours that were commonly used for this theme and I made notes to contribute
to the group discussion.
After a group discussion about out research, we all agreed to create our initial designs then to present them to the group. This is my initial design:
After presenting our initial designs we discovered that all our designs were very similar, and we agreed to create our developed designs. Discussing our designs allowed us to make all the designs coherent which then makes the makeups coherent. This is me developed design:
During this production meeting we talked about the factors that needed to be taken into consideration when creating our designs as it would be performed on stage, this meant that it would be performed under intense lighting so a darker shade of foundation may need to be used to prevent the performer being washed out by the lights and the makeup will need to be more intense so that it can be seen on by the audience, this also prevents the facial features being lost due to the distance.
We followed government guidelines during our production
meeting by adhering to social distancing guidelines. We also agreed that I would
complete the budget for this production but the performers were applying their
own makeup which meant that the budget was product recommendations rather than
specific products, this also prevents any pressure to buy products listed as
that can be expensive and the performers may already have some of their own
makeup.
2nd October 2020
As a group we decided to practice our makeup and then create
a face chart.
This is my makeup practice:
This makeup is flawlessly blended, the details can be seen
from a distance and the glitter in the hair is reflective meaning in can be
seen from the audience, however, to improve I could make the contour darker so
that it can be seen on stage which prevents the facial features getting lost in
the distance.
When creating the list of product recommendations, I looked at different websites that sold affordable products including Superdrug and Boots.
I made notes of different products then selecting a few
different products to give to the performers as recommendations.
These are my notes:
