Renaissance Inspired Makeup Evaluation (14th Century)

Renaissance Inspired Makeup Evaluation (14th Century):

Makeup Design:

This makeup is for a sci-fi film, the hair and makeup is inspired the 14th century.

Makeup:

Evaluation:
This makeup would work for film & TV as HD techniques and products were used, including subtle makeup and putting foundation on the lips so that they don't stand out as much. The base was also flawlessly blended and the skin was even.

The makeup also fits the time period as it was very pale and the focus is mostly on the skin. There is also no contour as being a little bit chubby showed wealth, making this a fashionable look. The hair also fits the time period as traditional techniques were used including lots of braids.

However, this makeup is for a sci-fi film which means the makeup could be anything and this is very simple, I could also improve by securing the hair more to prevent it falling out and I could add some traditional hair pieces.

this makeup wouldn't work for stage as the makeup isn't intense enough to be seen from a distance, however, I could make this work for theatre by making the makeup more intense to allow it to be seen from a distance.

Peer Assessment: Drew
Drew said that my base was flawless and well blended, it was also very even and it fit the time period. She also said that my hair fit with the time period really well as it was a traditional hairstyle.

However, she said that I should try to push myself a little bit further rather than doing a straight makeup as the makeup could've been anything.
