Tudor Makeup Evaluation

 Tudor Makeup Evaluation:

Makeup Design:

This makeup is a for a show similar to Horrible Histories which is talking about the Tudors so they re-attached the head of a lower-middle class woman who has recently been beheaded to discuss the time and the reasons for her execution.

Evaluation:
This makeup would work for film & TV as the base was flawlessly blended and the skin was even, foundation was also put on the lips to prevent them standing out as much. The edges of the silicone are blended well which prevents the paint clinging to the edges which would ruin the illusion and alcohol paints were used which means they won't be affected by water as much as aqua paints would be so they last longer. The blood work also helps trick the eye and cover any visible edges.
For continuity, a prosthetic could be used for the cut and I could also make this work for stage by using a thicker prosthetic and making the makeup more intense to allow it to be seen from a distance.

This makeup fits the time period well as makeup was frowned upon which means this makeup is very subtle while making the skin look healthy. The wound is also accurate for the way beheadings happened in this time.

However, to improve I could possibly splatter some blood on the neck and face, I could also secure the hair more or style my hair differently to fit the time period more, I could possibly add a bow.

Peer Assessment: Drew
Drew said that my face makeup was flawless and it fits the time period really well, she also said that the wound is well blended and works really well as a fresh wound.

However, she said that I could style my hair differently to fit with the time period more.
