  Prosthetic and Prop Making: 19 th April 2021: Today, after giving my presentation, I continued to demonstrate my practical skills by sculpting and creating prosthetics, I created the sculpt for my right eyebrow prosthetic, I then created flat moulds to create latex and silicone prosthetics.  Flat moulds are used to create prosthetics which can be used for a variety of looks but flat moulds are mostly used to create wounds as they are often better for beginners when making prosthetics (Gorton Studios, No Date). Out of the kit work can be very hard to get the same every time the makeup is needed so prosthetics are used to give as they are all moulded using the same mould which makes it easier to get it the same and photographs are used to get the position the same as continuity is one of the most important factors in film along with realism. Final Makeup Evaluation

  Final Makeup Write Up: 11 th May 2021: Today, after all of my preparation and hard work, I was finally able to use my practical skills to create my final makeup. This is my final look: These are some photos of my process:  Evaluation: This makeup translated onto the face really well and looked how I had imagined it; grease and alcohol paints were used which means that the makeup would last longer if needed and there’s no chance of the makeup sweating off like aqua paints would which is very important for this look as any inconsistencies would be very obvious and would ruin the look. The colours were also the colours I had hoped for and the light complimented the colours extremely well.    The hair was also how I had imagined it and the curls weren’t too tight, I had also backcombed the hair so that it helped support the crown during the final photos.   Seamless Wax Cut Painted With Grease Paints Evaluation: Makeup Design and Scenario:  This makeup if for a TV series about the development of a serial killer.  A vet is cheating on his wife, she catches him and threatens to leave him so he ties her up and cuts her while his mistress laughs and takes pictures. The makeup is a photograph of a fresh laceration on her arm caused by a small knife.  Makeup:  Evaluation:  With this scenario, this makeup would be used in an 18 rated film or TV show, however, with a different scenario this makeup could be used in a PG 13 or 15 rated film. It would work as grease paints were used and they won't be affected by water as much as aqua paints paints meaning they will last longer. However, this makeup wouldn't work on stage or for an event as the details would be lost due to the distance. For continuity, a prosthetic could be used for the cut and I could also make this work for stage by using a thicker prosthetic and...
